POLICE are investigating a spate of break-ins where thieves stole equipment from businesses in the county.
A white lorry was taken from a yard in Lowes Lane, Stanton-by- Dale, between 5.45am and 6.15am on Wednesday.

The thief is described as white, in his late-20s or early-30s, and of large build. He was wearing a black jacket and black woolly hat.
A JCB excavator was also stolen from a farm in Dale Road, Spondon, between 4pm ghd hair straighteners on Tuesday and 7.30am on Wednesday.
And a company in Ford Lane, Little Eaton, was targeted between 6pm on Tuesday and 9am on Wednesday when two windows of a transporter were smashed.
