Eureka!
I never chose the course I am currently taking up. I never really liked it. However, I cannot believe that I am about to finish it.

When my friends knew that I am already teaching (as a part of my practicum), they cannot believe it and they even asked me if I was torturing my students just to get them to listen or pay attention. I said "No" and they laughed. My friends know how easily I lose my temper and how naughty or rowdy kids would easily get into my nerves. That was what I thought too before I had my practicum. But now, it is a different story.

I was assigned to teach 2 of the most "unwanted" sections in that school and even before I started teaching, I was already receiving negative feedbacks about the sections and the students that I am going to handle. Wow! What a perfect way to motivate me and to start my new career. I feared that I might scold them too much or even hurt them but fate has another plans for me, I eventually was able to control my temper and my students seem to have liked me.

It was so tiring working on the lesson plans and even the visual aids because I am such a couch potato and I love to procrastinate. I gave in to what my students want and I often smiled and even luahged while teaching. That was how I really am. And without any knowledge, my students seem to want their teacher to be exactly how I am acting inside the room. The day came when I had to end the class and leave my sections for good. I asked for their feedbacks, both negative and positive. While I was reading their feedbacks, I wanted to cry but I have to control my tears from falling; I am still inside the classroom and having a discussion.

Eureka that is; finding out that you possess something that you think was never your's. Eureka: finding out that you have something in you that you never have thought of before. Eureka: finding out that you can still appreciate something that you think will never ever meet your standards, taste or presuppositions in life. I do not know if I am going to apply as a teacher after graduation but one thing is for sure, I am already learning to love the course I chose and I will leave everything in God's hands to guide me to where I truly belong.
