1. you said football is not a sport not as an opinion but as an ignorant fact.
2. along with your so called opinion, u gave no intellegent evidence to prove your point.
3. i'm not mad at you for not liking the sport. i could care less what you like or not like. i'm mad at the fact that you diminished sports without the prior knowledge or understanding.
4. as i conveyed logical evidence on why football and baseball are sports and the strategicness they hold, you responded back denying my opinion without any evidence of your own.

:) Let me take a moment to marvel at your ability to classify someone else's opinion as an ignorant fact. Once again, take notice that you HAVE just diminished my opinion. Also, I gave plenty of evidence, even used examples from other sports that I find particularly entertaining to watch. Also, there was not ONCE that I 'DENIED' your opinion. I mean this with absolutely no harm, but as someone who absolutely adores the English language, I ask that you review the definitions of such strong words before you use them. I did not deny your opinion.I reiterated mine before I posted. I have a habit of attempting to produce some form of thesis statement during debate. Also... No prior knowledge? I've been to more football games than most. I'm a cheerleader for my school team and I've been a cheerleader since I was seven (which is usually when they begin your football career). I watch the college football games. I've been to the NFL games. Please, don't assume that I have no prior knowledge of the game. I simply do no enjoy it. That is not an opinion that you can simply classify as ignorant. I believe that football, like many sports is a game of chance. However, it is one of the only (arena-oriented) sports that one can play that puts their puts their physical body on the line EVERY game. Even hockey can be played without violence (if that weren't some crazy unspoken rule xD). Ah, I didn't think that the topic of diminishing sports and prior knowledge was an issue in the previous posts, so I didn't bother addressing it fully. Also, I believe that you have greatly underestimated me. I believed fully in my opinion from the time of the first post, however, I didn't consider it a serious debate. For me, it was an opinion that may get some fans or supporters to engage in conversation on the forum. I had no intention of debating with you on such a matter in an academic form. As such, I made sure that the nature of my first few posts did not delve deeply into the opinion itself, but rather stay as light-hearted as humanly possible. This is something you made rather difficult with your own chosen direction for the discussion. Please understand that during such a debate (especially on a form after only a day or so of conversation), it should not be the intention of the participant to change the others point of view. The idea is to present your own ideas in a positive manner and hope that the participant accepts and challenges the ideas. In no way is it my intention to change your point of view with my last few posts. Rather, I aspire to bring to your attention the multiple insults that no longer qualify this as an acceptable discussion in my opinion. And to ask, as I have asked before, that we accept each others differences of opinion and find another topic to discuss.

i seems to me to be a matter of a view of the individual player, as opposed to the team or game at large. in an individual view, the game does not seem to be as much as a matter of skill acquired through practice as sheer physical ability. not that there isn't skill involved. just thinking about the coordination needed just by quarterbacks and receivers to accomplish some of the pass plays. and that's where i think a lot of the strategy comes in: coordinating all the players in such a way to defeat the other team's play and make progress on the field. (fyi, i don't watch sports or play sports)
